Concrete Strengths Explained
No matter the construction project, the concrete being used needs to be strong enough to handle the loads it is anticipated to withstand. Concrete strength is calculated by the weight it can tolerate 28 days after it has been laid and cured.
Here are the many concrete strengths we provide
Our concrete strengths range from grade C20 with a strength of 20 newtons, to C50 with a strength of 50 newtons. C20 is designed for domestic floors and foundations. C50, our strongest concrete, is designed to withstand heavy-duty loads.
There are different types of concrete, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Depending on the project you're working on, you'll want to use a different type of concrete. Here's a quick guide to the different types of concrete and when to use them:
-Regular concrete has a compressive strength of 2,500 psi (pounds per square inch). It's often used for sidewalks, driveways, and other flat surfaces.
-Structural concrete has a compressive strength of 4,000 psi. It's used for foundation walls, beams, and columns.
-High-strength concrete has a compressive strength of 8,000 to 10,000 psi. It's used for bridges, dams, and other structures that need to be extra strong.
As you can see, there are many different types of concrete, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Depending on your project, you'll want to use a different type of concrete.
